Planning Applications (Development Control)
Introduction Development Control deals with the processing of planning applications, taking account of borough policies and briefs, government guidance and the individual merits of each scheme, in order to control development in the Borough in the public interest. The Enforcement Service investigates complaints about building work, changes of use of buildings and land and monitors planning conditions. Planning Portal Submit a planning application Details of all planning applications since 1998 are available through our Public Access site. This includes plans for applications received since 2006. NOTE: Under normal circumstances the plans and documents associated with new planning applications will be able to be viewed within 3 working days of receipt of the application. If none are displayed at the time, you may wish to try a few days later or alternatively you will be able to view the application and associated documents at the council's offices. Building Control ensures that building works comply with the health, safety, energy conservation and access for the disabled requirements, as laid down in the Building Regulations and Building Acts. |
