A typo in the email address for submitting responses was identified and corrected on page six of 76 in the Regulation 18 draft Local Plan document. All other references to the email address throughout the consultation documents are unaffected. Update from 20 November 2025 (notice of change of venue for Hinckley consultation event on Tuesday 25 November 2025)

Following a review of recent consultation event attendance, it has been determined that the previous venue of the Hinckley Hub no longer provides adequate capacity to safely and comfortably accommodate anticipated participant numbers. In comparison to earlier events, we have recorded higher turnout recently, demonstrating increased public engagement and interest. To ensure that this final consultation event in Hinckley can proceed efficiently and maintain overall positive visitor experience, a larger venue space has been considered and deemed suitable. This change to a new venue at the Atkins Building offers a greater capacity which will enable the council to manage attendance levels more effectively, as well as support wider, inclusive and accessible community participation.

Key details of venue change

The venue for the upcoming Local Plan consultation event due to be held in Hinckley on Tuesday 25 November 2025 has changed. The date and time of the consultation event remain the same. Key details below:

  • Previous venue: Hinckley Hub
  • New venue: The Atkins Building, Lower Bond Street, Hinckley, Leicestershire LE10 1QU
  • Date and time: Tuesday, 25 November 2025 - 5:30pm to 7:30pm
  • Public car parking: Amongst other options, public parking is available within the Lower Bond Street Public car park opposite, where parking is free after 3pm

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to your participation.

Please feel free to share the above notices and updates wider across your local networks.

What was this consultation all about?

We asked for your views on the Regulation 18 draft Local Plan. This consultation ran from 12pm on Friday 17 October and closed at 5pm on Friday 28 November 2025.

This consultation only related to specific new or updated policies and site allocations. We asked all stakeholders to please not re-submit comments on areas not included in this draft or repeat feedback already provided during the previous consultation in 2024.

Previous responses have already informed the development of these proposals and will continue to shape the next stage of preparing a full pre-submission version of the Local Plan (Regulation 19).
