Cycling in and around Hinckley and Bosworth
Get on your bike and explore all corners of the borough. There are lots of places to discover and plenty of beautiful countryside.
Whenever you are out cycling don't forget to take appropriate clothing, plenty of drinking water, and although it is not compulsory, wearing a cycle helmet is always a good idea.
There are two cycling clubs in the Borough:
- Hinckley Cycling Club are predominantly a racing club but have recently started offering junior 'go-ride' sessions every Saturday at Brodick Park in Hinckley in partnership with British Cycling. Find out more by visiting their website
- Markfield BMX are a relatively new group made up of representatives that are in the final stages of developing a new BMX facility in the village of Markfield. Find out more by visiting their website
Like walking, cycling is a great way of keeping fit and incorporating it very easily into your daily schedule. Thousands of people take to the road each day to cycle to work, why not join them?
Why not start cycling tomorrow by downloading the handy Hinckley & Bosworth Cycle map produced by Leicestershire County Council in partnership with the Hinckley and Bosworth Active Together team.
More cycle routes are available on Leicestershire County Council's website.
