About the council

The borough of Hinckley & Bosworth covers the southwest corner of Leicestershire, located in the centre of England between Leicester, Birmingham and Coventry.

The borough has a strong manufacturing economy, with Hinckley housing the main administrative services and providing the principal shopping centre and leisure amenities.

Much of the borough - particularly the centre and the west - is rural, and includes the historic market town of Market Bosworth, with the nearby Bosworth Battlefield.
