Pay
The salary of a post is determined through our job evaluation process.

Upon appointment to a post you will usually commence at the bottom of the pay scale unless qualifications and experience justify otherwise.

Pay Scales
Your salary will increase by one increment on the 1 April each year up to the top of the grade.

If you commence employment between 1 October and 31 March your first increment will be paid six months after commencing employment.

Additionally, your salary will normally increase in line with an annual cost of living award which is negotiated nationally. This is usually awarded in April of each year.
