To recycle these items, please put them in main part of the blue lidded recycling bin. To make best use of the space available it is best to squash bottles. Suitable items
To help you, the following is a guide to the types of items our contractor can accept for reprocessing:
- Plastic bottles - all types, please make sure completely empty (these are easier to squash if the lid/caps are removed)
- Plastic food containers (such as yoghurt, margarine, ice cream pots)
- Plastic food trays (but not polystyrene food trays)
- Plastic bottle tops and caps
- Plastic household packaging (such as cd cases)
Plastic bags and carrier bags
Please reuse these before putting them into your recycling container.

- Plastic film
- Large plastic items such as toys
Why do items have to be clean?
