Reporting repairs

Appointments

Appointments for repairs

When you report a repair by telephone, you will be offered an appointment, either morning or afternoon, to suit you. Please note that we are unable to offer appointments at specific times, but  let us know if you have any unavoidable commitments like school runs. We will try our best to accommodate such requests, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee accommodation, as our service often responds to same day emergencies.

It is important that you keep the appointment. Should our contractor call and be unable to gain access, the job will be cancelled and you would have to contact the repairs service to rearrange.

Appointment for inspections

If the repair needs to be inspected first, you will be offered either a morning or afternoon appointment, whichever is more convenient for you. Please note, we are unable to offer appointments at specific times (for example, to avoid school runs).

Once an appointment has been made, it is important that you are in when the Repairs and Maintenance Inspector calls. If you are not in, the job may be cancelled.

If the work is cancelled and you still want it doing, you will have to contact the Housing Service again and arrange another appointment.

Appointment times:

  • Morning appointments are between 8:30am and 1pm
  • Afternoon appointments are between 1pm and 4:15pm, Monday to Thursday, and until 3:45 on Fridays
