Eat safe this summer

This year Food Safety Week is being held from 19 to 25 June and we are working with the Food Standards Agency to promote good hygiene practices for summer, when the risk of food poisoning goes up because of the warmer weather.

New research shows that people could be putting themselves and their families at risk through lack of knowledge of the 4C's of food hygiene. These are:

  • Chilling and defrosting
  • Cooking
  • Cleaning
  • Avoiding cross contamination
