As part of our continuing commitment to improving the level of information we provide via these web pages, planning online allows you to:

• Monitor the progress of planning applications
• Submit comments about an application
• Search a regularly updated list of applications that have been validated and decided each week. It also allows you to save your searches to be run automatically for you
• Track planning applications
• View details of some historical planning applications
• View property details by reference to map
• View electronic case files on line by clicking on the ‘Documents’ tab within planning online to enable you to view electronic case files online. These include plans, application forms and decision documents. In most instances, you can measure and scale from these drawings and plans

Your personal data

Before submitting any comments via planning online you must read the following information regarding use of your personal data.

All representations received in response to planning applications form part of the application documentation and therefore must be made available for public inspection in accordance with the Local Government 1972 (as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985).  Provision is made within the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 for publishing such information.

Please note therefore that any representations made cannot be treated as confidential by the authority. 

All personal data such as email addresses, telephone numbers, names and signatures will be removed and will not be made available for viewing.

Acceptable user behaviour

Contributors must at all time, refrain from making any comments that could be viewed as defamatory or prejudicial. Failure to do so could result in action being taken against the contributor concerned. 

Any personal information published on planning online by the authority is done so in accordance with The Planning and Building Control Information Online Guidance for Practitioners.

The user must not use the information available through planning online for any other purpose than for personal use, in particular it must not be used for any purpose connected with marketing. Please see the Copyright section below for further information.

The authority reserves the right to remove any comments or parts of comments not considered suitable for public view for, in particular where it is considered that such comments are offensive or of a personal/sensitive personal nature.

Limitations

At present some of the constraint information, associated documents, plans and decision notices are available online for some applications.

The online planning history contained within the site should not be relied upon in connection with a property transaction. For this purpose please contact Land Charges at Blaby District Council, who carry out official searches on behalf of Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council.
