Cross border partnership
Overview and Economic Review and Impact Assessment
A cross border partnership has been formed by the following councils to aid economic development and to promote employment and skills:
- Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council (HBBC)
- North Warwickshire Borough Council (NWBC)
- Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council (NBBC)
The partnership has produced an Economic Review and Impact Assessment (PDF) that provides an economic review of the cross border area, together with an assessment of the impact of completed and future major projects in the HBBC and NWBC areas.
Overall the economic review has shown that although the socio-economic conditions are mixed across the cross border partnership area, there is a range of common issues where the partners could develop closer joint working for the benefit of residents and businesses. The completed projects within the HBBC and NWBC areas have already resulted in significant economic benefits, with the potential impact of future projects also expected to be substantial.
