  • Aluminium/steel cans mixed
  • Small electrical appliances
  • Plastic bottles

Latest news on the recycling sites

Following a review of all our sites we will be removing some/all banks at certain locations. The reason for the removal is the lack of use of the banks which coincides with the improvements to the kerbisde recycling collections. These sites are:

  • Barlestone - St Giles Football Club on Barton Road: all banks removed
  • Market Bosworth - Rugby Club on Cadeby Lane: all banks removed
  • Markfield - Shaw Lane and Battelflat Miners Welfare Club on Billa Barra Lane: all banks removed
  • Markfield - Social Club at retirement village, Ratby Lane: all banks removed
  • Stapleton - Woodland Nurseries, Ashby Road: all banks  removed
  • Sutton Cheney - Bosworth Battlefield, Ambion Lane: all banks removed
  • Upton - Upton Barn at Manor Farm, Main Road: Glass banks removed

New banks for electricals

The council now provides banks for the recycling of small electrical items. These will be located around the borough which will help residents to recycle small items such as kettles, irons, DIY tools without having to travel too far. More information is detailed on the small electrical appliances page.

Please note: recycling sites operated by the Borough Council are for the recycling of household waste only. It is an offence to deposit waste arising from shops, offices or businesses at these sites, even for recycling.
