Financial assistance for homes
How much financial assistance can I receive?
Financial assistance up to a maximum of £30,000 is available. All works are subject to a full building survey, a Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) inspection and eligible criteria.
Financial assistance is interest free, with no hidden charges or monthly repayments.
On satisfactory completion of the approved work, the council will make payment directly to the contractor. We will register a local land charge for the total amount of assistance provided, which only becomes repayable when you sell the property.
Please note that financial assistance cannot be paid retrospectively for work carried out prior to the inspection and application process.
