Satisfaction Survey - Winter 2016/2017
Residents satisfaction with council services
What was it about?
Each year the council consults on a range of services to understand how satisfied residents are with the way services are delivered. This helps us monitor trends and identify areas for improvement.
This year the questions in the survey were based on a national poll conducted by the Local Government Association (LGA) in which a representative random sample of approximately one thousand British adults (aged 18 or over) are polled by telephone every four months.
This allows us to benchmark our own local results against a national average.
When was the last survey?
The latest poll was conducted in February 2017. You can view the results on the LGA website
The survey is now closed; results will be available on the council's website in the summer.
How will the results improve the council?
Understanding residents’ views is a key element of assessing the effectiveness of an authority, alongside cost and performance information. Furthermore, understanding resident satisfaction and being able to make informed comparisons can strengthen the council’s accountability and be a key part of our approach to managing our performance, so your views are important to us.
