Format of the Local Plan 2001

The Local Plan 2001 comprises of a written statement and a proposals map.

The written statement sets out the policies to guide development and specific land use proposals. Each policy and proposal is accompanied by a justification, setting out the council's reasons for the including the policy or proposal.

The borough-wide proposals map and inset maps for each individual settlement show where the policies apply.

A copy of the Local Plan 2001, together with the proposals map and inset maps for the urban areas and settlements within the borough, can be downloaded free of charge below.

Alternatively a copy of the full document can be purchased at a cost of £65 including postage and packing.
