All proposed contributions should be submitted as a draft heads of terms or as a draft legal agreement using one of our standard templates available from our legal services. You will also need a copy of the pre-application responses which have been obtained from the relevant authorities:

  • Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council
  • Police
  • Primary Care Trust

Policy IMP1 of the Hinckley and Bosworth Local Plan requires developers to make contributions towards the infrastructure and facilities which serve the development. The contributions should be appropriate to the scale and nature of the development proposed.

Policies REC2 and REC3 of the Local Plan, and Policy 19 of the Core Strategy  require contributions towards public play and open space. The council's supplementary planning document on play and open space provides additional information on the calculation of the contributions, and your calculations should be submitted with the Heads of Terms.

Policies 15 and 17 of the Core Strategy require contributions towards affordable housing. The council's supplementary planning document on affordable housing provides additional information on the council's requirements.
