You could receive up to 25% of your council tax charge; the minimum amount of second adult rebate you could receive is 7.5% of your council tax charge.
How will second adult rebate be paid?
If you are entitled to second adult rebate, the benefit will go straight to your council tax account. We will send you a notification letter explaining our decision, the amount that you are entitled to and how we have worked this out. The Council Tax Section will send you a new bill.
You will need to pay the amount of council tax stated on your bill until you have received the decision about your benefit claim stating how much you are entitled to. If you pay less than you should, you may accumulate council tax arrears.
