The Masterplan options documents for the Barwell and Earl Shilton Sustainable Urban Extensions (SUE's) and the Settlement Centre Improvement Schemes are available as downloads at the bottom of this page.

Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council has commissioned Capita Lovejoy to assist them in the preparation of Masterplans for the growth and regeneration of Earl Shilton and Barwell. The Masterplans will subsequently form the basis of a formal Area Action Plan for the two settlements. 

At this stage, the Masterplan options presented will not simply offer a choice between option A or option B, but instead seek to highlight how different approaches can be taken to the key elements of the proposed development.  In respect of the settlement centres, the options will highlight potential development sites, potential uses for those sites, and the potential changes to the highway and public realm. In respect of the SUE’s, two distinct concepts are presented, illustrating different locations for the employment, community facilities and recreation provision.

Volume I of the Lanarca Report, and volumes II and III of the Lanarca Report referred to in the Earl Shilton and Barwell Sustainable Urban Extension Area Action Plan are available to download below.
