About Community Safety
Community Safety Partnership The partnership is made up of statutory and non-statutory organisations and groups that can impact on reducing crime, disorder and drug and alcohol related offending in the borough. The partnership has produced a three-year Community Partnership Plan 2008-11through public consultation and analysis of crime and disorder in the borough via a strategic assessment of the borough. This plan links to the Leicestershire Local Area Agreement Safer Communities Strategy. The Hinckley and Bosworth Community Safety Partnership has identified the following priorities:
The Partnership Structure The partnership is accountable to the Home Office and ultimately to the public to deliver its crime, disorder and drug/alcohol strategy. In order to do this, the partnership has a structure to ensure that it has clear direction and a means to achieve its agreed targets. Executive Board Membership Briefly, this group meets on a fortnightly basis to assess current crime figures, crime trends and emerging crime and disorder problems. It identifies problem areas that impact on crime and disorder targets and allocates problem-solving actions to partnership member organisations.
