When is my collection day?: Collection day information is now available online. This link will show you the full pattern of collections and give you the opportunity to download the calendar for your property. Paper copies are available by emailing streetscene@hinckley-bosworth.gov.uk  or telephoning us on 01455 238141. 

General information: The council is committed to reducing the amount of waste that is sent to landfill. Our strategy is to encourage residents to reduce the amount of waste they produce, re-use materials and products and recycle waste where possible.

As a last resort, waste should be put into the black bin. The council, in partnership with its residents, achieves high levels of recycling. Our current recycling rate is over 49% but there is potential to recycle a lot more. Waste collection is carried out in the following ways (wheeled bins, boxes and sacks are collected fortnightly):
