Wildlife and your garden

In your garden your hedge can often be the most important feature for wildlife. Hedges can provide insect food and an abundance of berries for the birds. 

Residents need to be aware of nesting birds in their hedges and be mindful not to damage birds' nests as this is an offence under section 1 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
