Beating the Recession

Hallo. This is David Bill, deputy leader at the council here in Hinckley and Bosworth.

We all hope, of course, that it is true that we have seen the worst of the recession, but we are taking nothing for granted.

We are pressing on with our plans to regenerate the bus station and other sites, providing new workspace opportunities, keeping the Council Tax as low as possible, and trying to help small businesses generally.

Now, in order to help individual people, we are working closely with the CAB, and have set up a First Response team to help people who unexpectedly find themselves in financial difficulties.
