Recycling

Research shows that over 50% of the average household waste can be recycled. The majority of day-to-day items can be recycled at the kerbside:

• Glass bottles/jars, aluminium/steel cans, newspapers/magazines/directories, textiles
• Plastic and cardboard

Other items can be taken to the Recycling & Household Waste Sites managed by Leicestershire County Council. By recycling existing materials, less energy is used, resources are saved and environmental pollution is also reduced.
