IT'S time to dust off those trainers and running shoes because the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile is coming back to Hinckley next month.
The event will be taking place on Sunday 25 March and needs local people to come together and show their support by entering at www.sportrelief.com.
As one of the UK’s biggest fund-raising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives.
The Hinckley and Bosworth Mile will be staged around Hinckley Rugby Club’s Leicester Road playing fields. Entrants don’t have to be sporty to take part, and can choose to complete one, three or six miles.
Emma Hopkins, Physical Activity Co-ordinator at the Borough Council, said: “From teeny-tots with their mums and dads, to super sprinters up against the clock there will be something for everyone on the big day."
Among the other attractions on the day will be a demonstration by the TKT Cheerleading Group and a dancing display by pupils at Burbage Juniors School. Face painting will also be available.
To enter the Hinckley and Bosworth Mile visit www.sportrelief.com and type in “Hinckley” in the search engine or contact 020 7820 2000.
