Bin collections - Tuesday 12 December

No garden waste collections. Refuse and recycling is being collected, where safe to do so. Please leave any missed refuse or recycling bins out for collection; we will aim to return this week.

Event for would-be councillors

Published Monday, 20 October 2014

ANYONE who thinks they have what it takes to become a councillor for Hinckley and Bosworth in next May’s local elections is to be given the chance to find out more at an open evening next week.

The event is being held on Monday (27 October) by the Borough Council to encourage more people to consider becoming borough councillors. Prospective candidates will have the chance to meet with current councillors and council staff to find out more about life in politics.

The evening will provide prospective candidates with a wide range of information to help them decide whether life as a councillor is for them.

The open evening will be held in the De Montfort Suite at Hinckley Hub, Rugby Road, Hinckley. Anyone interested in attending should contact Rebecca Owen, Democratic Services Officer, on 01455 255879 or email rebecca.owen@hinckley-bosworth.gov.uk

Information on becoming a councillor can also be found on the council website at www.hinckley-bosworth.gov.uk.
