Earl Shilton Photographers in the Frame

Photography exhibition

Published Tuesday, 04 August 2015

A special photography exhibition taking place at The Atkins Gallery later this month will celebrate the 40th year of a popular Earl Shilton Camera Club.

The week-long exhibition of Earl Shilton Camera Club’s members’ work and photography ephemera is on display at the Atkins Gallery in Lower Bond Street, Hinckley from Monday 24 August until Tuesday 1 September 2015. Entry to the exhibition is free.

The Earl Shilton Camera Club aims to promote photography and increase members skills and technical knowledge through a programme of competitions, workshops and talented speakers.  Previously the club has organised one day exhibitions but members hope this year’s expanded show will attract new members to join this sociable group.

There will be a special evening view on Wednesday 26 August from 7.30pm where club members will be present and available to talk about their pieces and inspirations.  The event is free to attend and all are welcome.  The evening view will be supported by Café Español which is a licensed tapas bar and will have refreshments and authentic tapas available for purchase.

Earl Shilton Camera Club meets on Wednesdays in the George Ward Centre in Barwell with the next meeting following the Exhibition on 2 September.  For more information on the club please see www.earlshiltoncameraclub.org.uk
