Waste free living
Why go waste free?
Welcome to the waste free pages. This is the area of the website devoted to living your life and creating as little rubbish as possible along the way.
The waste we throw away in our everyday lives is full of valuable materials that can be used again. We need to stop thinking of it as rubbish, and start thinking of it as resources.
On average, each person in the UK throws away their own body weight in rubbish every seven weeks! This needn't be the case. For some top tips on how to reduce your waste and save a bit of money in the process please visit our Waste Free pages. Topics include:
- Reduce
- Reuse
- Waste Free Christmas
- Food Waste
More ways for waste free living can be found on the Leicestershire Waste Partnership webiste. This site includes:
- The new freeuseit website to give away unwanted items and to reuse items from other local residents
- Leicestershire's free reuse directory
- Special offers
