About the new crematorium

Construction of the new £5 million crematorium began in January 2021 with building work now well under way by Keir who were appointed to build this new facility.

Situated between Hinckley and Barwell adjacent to the A47, the new crematorium will provide a tranquil and dignified setting for bereaved families to say goodbye to their loved ones.

It will serve a large area and cut travelling and waiting times for families in Hinckley and Bosworth.

Due to open in Spring 2022 the crematorium will include:

  • Ceremonial hall with seating for up to 100 people
  • 130 car park spaces
  • Flower court for floral tributes
  • Various choice of memorials including plaques, trees as well as more traditional options
  • Water features
  • Landscaped grounds which will also be managed for wildlife
