The Atkins Gallery annual Open Exhibition returns for 2025 with the theme The Art of Music. An exhibition showcasing artists' response to The Art of Music and local history, music, and stories past and present.
Atkins Gallery is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm - and look out for additional evenings and weekend viewings.
Connect with Leicestershire Recovery College, part of the Art of Music Exhibition: Thursday 17 July from 10am to 1pm, and free Lunchtime Recital on Wednesday 6 August from 12:30 to 13:30 with Castle Baroque Players, as part of the Art of Music Exhibition.

Free lunchtime recital in Atkins Gallery by the Castle Baroque Players as part of the Art of Music Exhibition
Introducing Castle Baroque Players is the inaugural concert series of Castle Baroque Players, a new amateur historical performance group based in Leicestershire.
Their aim is to combine the past and present: playing Baroque music on authentic eighteenth-century instruments, with a contemporary vitality and flair. Artistic Director Seb Carrington leads the group from the harpsichord in a programme of Telemann, Byrd, and Corelli The inaugural concert series of Castle Baroque Players, featuring a programme of Telemann, Byrd, and Corelli, directed by Seb Carrington.
No need to book to attend the recital. Freshly made lunches and Fair Trade Coffee available from the onsite Hansom Café.
