Working safely in your home during COVID-19

What you can expect from us before, during and after the visit

As we continue to ensure the safety of our staff and customers, we have introduced a number of measures before and during our visit to your home, and once the visit is completed.

If we are visiting your home to undertake a repair, there are a number of measures you can expect to see from us. Your assistance in complying with government guidelines is appreciated to ensure your safety and the safety of our officers.

What you can expect from us before, during and after the visit:

  • Checks to see if anyone has symptoms:
    • Before we schedule the appointment and once the operative attends your address, we will ask you a series of questions to confirm it is safe for the repair to be carried out

  • Checks to see if anyone within your household is self-isolating:
    • Before we schedule the appointment and once the operative attends your address, we will ask you a series of questions to ensure that we have considered whether or not any member of your household is vulnerable

  • Maintaining social distancing:
    • Our operatives are following government guidelines to maintain a safe distance from others whilst working in your home

  • Wear appropriate PPE:
    • All our operatives have the appropriate PPE to use whilst working in your home

  • Sanitise the area:
    • Once the repair is complete, the operative will wipe down anything they have touched with a sanitiser

  • Adapted sign off:
    • You will not be asked to sign anything once the repair is complete. Instead, the operative will mark the job as complete on their handheld device
