Reason for the inquiry
An appeal has been submitted against the council’s refusal of outline planning permission for up to 140 dwellings accessed from Sketchley Lane and an extension of Sketchley Meadows Business Park for up to 30,000 square metre gross internal floorspace (B2 and B8 uses) accessed from Watling Drive, with associated infrastructure including open space, landscaping, drainage and internal roads reference number 19/00947/OUT.
An inspector has been appointed by the Secretary of State and the appeal will be heard by way of a public inquiry. The inquiry will be conducted as a virtual event via Microsoft Teams, starting on Tuesday 9 March 2021.
