Plan for development of land south of Station Road in Market Bosworth
As part of a joint commitment to oversee the development of land south of Station Road in Market Bosworth planning consultants, Birmingham-based Define were appointed to create an overall masterplan and development strategy for the site.
The objective is a development of high quality design in keeping with the distinctiveness of the town, with affordable housing well integrated into the scheme, business units for existing and new companies and appropriate community facilities. The plan will be used to secure a developer to ensure completion of the scheme in the next five years.
What was it about?
The Land South of Station Road, Market Bosworth is an allocated mixed use development site within both the Market Bosworth Neighbourhood Plan (2015) and our Site Allocations and Development Management Policies DPD (2016).
One of the Council’s main development aspirations is to assist in the delivery of the allocated mixed use development site with the production of a high quality deliverable Masterplan which achieves the policy requirements of the Local Plan and the Neighbourhood Plan.

Upon completion of the consultation, all representations will be considered and amendments made to the document where necessary before going through the process of formal adoption. The final version of the Land South of Station Road, Market Bosworth Draft Masterplan SPD, will then be made available online next year.
