Who is standing and how to vote
Elections for the East Midlands region for the European Parliament are scheduled to take place on Thursday 23 May 2019:

Please note, for reasons of impartiality, we are not able to publicise the manifestos of candidates.
If you are registered to vote and already on our electoral register, you do not need to register again for these elections.
Voting in person
You can vote at your polling station on Thursday 23 May 2019 between 7am and 10pm.
If you are not registered to vote, the deadline for applying to vote in these elections was Tuesday 7 May 2019.
How to register to vote (GOV.UK)
Your polling station will be printed on your poll card, which will be sent to you around the beginning of May 2019.
If you are unable to get to your polling station on Thursday 23 May 2019, there are different options available to you in order for you to cast your vote. You could apply to vote by post or by proxy.

Already registered to vote by post?
Your postal vote will be posted first class around 8 May, or if you have applied after the 18 April it will be sent on the 14 May.
Not registered to vote by post?
You can apply to vote by post by Wednesday 8 May and your postal vote will be posted first class around 14 May.

The deadline to apply to vote by proxy at these elections is 5pm on Wednesday 15 May 2019.
