What was it all about?
Understanding residents’ views is a key element of assessing the effectiveness of an authority, alongside cost and performance information. Furthermore, understanding resident satisfaction and being able to make informed comparisons can strengthen the council’s accountability and be a key part of our approach to managing our performance, so your views are important to us.
The survey is conducted every year and each year we invite a number of randomly selected households to participate. We also have a Citizens Panel database of around 500 residents who have chosen to be contacted for any other corporate consultations that the council may run. If you would like to be added to this database for future consultations, you can fill out an citizen panel application form online.
The survey was conducted from February 2018 to 23 March 2018 and the results were presented to members of Finance & Performance Scrutiny on 10 September 2018.
