A new Sunday Market will be open for business in Hinckley town centre for the first time this weekend.
The Market will run from 10am until 2pm in Castle Street this Sunday 22 May and then every fourth Sunday until September.
Hinckley Sunday Market will be trading in crafts, hobbies, bric-a-brac and fine food.
The Borough Council, with the backing of the Hinckley Town Centre Partnership and Hinckley BID, will be running the Sunday Market using the council’s market stalls. The market stalls will be left in place on Castle Street following the usual Saturday market.
Executive Member for Town Centres at the Borough Council, Councillor Chris Ladkin welcomed the Sunday Market. He said: “This is a great way to support our local town centre traders and bring more people into the town on a Sunday. I would urge everyone to take advantage of free parking in Council car parks on a Sunday and come into the town to see what is on offer.”
- Anyone who wishes to book a pitch should contact Dean Kavanagh, Markets Assistant on 07976 882785. Stalls are £10 each, no general retail will be accepted, only crafts, hobbies, bric-a-brac and fine food.
