Coronavirus pandemic - volunteering

Volunteer marshals

Applications for the role of Vaccination Marshal are currently closed, please check back. Thank you for your interest.

Volunteers really do make a difference. And as the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination programme begins, we now need volunteers in Hinckley.

We’ve been working with the NHS and Next Generation to recruit more volunteer marshals for Hinckley’s local COVID-19 vaccination centre which is due to open shortly.

Thanks to the amazing efforts of Next Generation, Voluntary Action and NHS Volunteers, a number of volunteers have already stepped forward and are ready to go.

Volunteers marshals are essential for ensuring the smooth arrival onsite of people coming in for vaccinations.

What happens next?

You will ensure the efficient flow of people to clinical assessment, vaccination and exit while respecting social distancing. You’ll also identify people who require additional support.

This role will require volunteers to commit to at least two four-hour shifts at the vaccination centre each month. You don’t need any previous experience and free car parking will be available on site.

We’ve had an amazing response, thank you to everyone who has volunteered. We are not looking for any more vaccination marshal volunteers at the moment but please keep checking back. Thank you for your interest.
