Barwell Community House

Welcome to Barwell Community House

The aim of the Barwell Community House is to work with local residents and young people, encouraging them to become involved in community projects and activities, helping to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour and working together to encourage a sense of pride back into the area.

The community house provides local residents, tenants and young people with direct access to public services including Police, housing officers, adult education, the Youth Offending Team, Connexions, Age Concern and Voluntary Action.

There are several groups run from the community house by volunteers and staff which include the Tea Pot Stop Group, the Gardening Group and the Girls Group. Family cooking courses are currently running at the house.

During school holidays diversionary activities for young people take place. Family trips and adult trips are also available throughout the year.

As well as the activities run from the house we can also assist in setting up tenant and resident groups and neighbourhood watch schemes - or any project you may want some help with.

Whether you require a small meeting room, calling in for a coffee and chat or would like some advice, help with filling in forms or access to other agencies we offer a 'one-stop-shop' service to all who visit.
