Car parks - pay and display
The pay & display system
All Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council car parks operate with a pay and display system. A ticket with sufficient time to cover your stay should be purchased from one of the ticket machines and attached to the inside of the front windscreen of the parked vehicle. The machines do not give change.
Pricing policy
The council's pricing policy aims to discourage the all-day occupation of premium, central area car parks in order to allow a greater turnover of spaces for use by shoppers. Elsewhere throughout the borough, the council will continue to operate a free parking service for the public.
Within many of the car parks in Hinckley, Earl Shilton and Barwell we have CCTV cameras which are monitored at the Police station within Hinckley. These cameras can be moved remotely to look at car parks and the surrounding area in full.
Further security measures include having a lockable barrier on the car park at Brunel Road south and Mount Road on the entrance and exit. We also have 'Alligator teeth' which allow the vehicle to go out of the car park but not to enter. This therefore ensures the car park is kept secure at night.
Charges apply between 8am - 5.30pm Monday to Saturday (unless otherwise stated).
Please note the machines do not give change.
