Apply for works to a tree

If you wish to carry out works to protected trees (either a tree protected by a tree preservation order or a tree in a conservation area), then you must submit a planning application to us (as the local planning authority) before carrying out the work.

There is no fee required for this type of application.

Timescales to determine your planning application:

• Tree(s) in a conservation area: six weeks
• Tree(s) protected by a tree preservation order: eight weeks
