Burbage Common activities and special events

Activities 2017

The following environmental activities for children will be taking place at Burbage Common during the school holidays:

Easter holidays and half-term

19 April 10:30am to 12:30pm: Stone Age Adventure - build a natural shelter, make a bow and arrows and create some Stone Age art.

31 May 10:30am to 12:30pm: Nature Challenge - bug hunting, wild art and nature poems.

School summer holidays

26 July 10:30am to 12:30pm: Mud activities - prepare to get muddy and discover what animals are below our feet.

2 August 10:30am to 12:30pm: Wood activities - use tools to make items from wood.

9 August 10:30am to 12:30pm: Fire activities - learn how to safely light a fire and cook something yummy on an open fire.

23 August 10:30am to 12:30pm: Water activities - pond dipping and water play.

Please note: wild play themes are the same, however most activities will be different from last year.

The activities are open to children between five and 12 years of age (children must be accompanied by an adult). Cost £3.50 per child per session.
