Laminate floors
Wooden floors have become increasingly popular in recent years. However, this has led to an increase in complaints from neighbours in flats and apartments.
Carpets are recommended in flats. However, if laminate is to be laid, use of a resilient or acoustic underlay may help to reduce noise and may also prolong the life of your flooring. Your flooring supplier will be able to advise you.
If you avoid walking on laminate flooring when wearing shoes, this may also reduce the impact of the noise.
