Emergency centre
If during an emergency you are displaced from your home, the council has a responsibility to provide temporary accommodation in the form of an emergency centre.
These are public buildings that have been prepared and will be staffed by trained council personnel and members of various voluntary agencies to cater for your immediate needs during an emergency. If you are advised to evacuate, you will be informed of the location of the nearest emergency centre.
