Apply for help paying council tax

If you are of working age you can make a claim for council tax support, also known as council tax reduction.

If you are of pensionable age you could make a claim for council tax support or second adult rebate. You cannot apply for both council tax support and second adult rebate: after completing the claim form, we will be able to determine which one will make you better off. Council tax support and second adult rebate are means-tested.
