Earl Shilton Community House

Welcome to Earl Shilton Community House

The Earl Shilton Community House was developed through the Community Safety Partnership. It was established due to the high levels of crime and disorder, anti-social behaviour and social exclusion suffered by the residents of Earl Shilton. The project was launched in September 2001 and has proved very successful in supporting and helping its local community in bringing a sense of pride back into the area.

The original aim of the project was to work with local residents and young people, encouraging them to become involved in community projects and activities, helping to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour and working together to encourage a sense of pride back into the area. Over the years the project has evolved to meet local needs and national trends; our focus now is now mainly health and wellbeing.

The Community House provides local residents, tenants and young people with direct access to public services including the Police, Housing Officers, Age Concern and the voluntary and community sector.

It runs several projects including basic skills classes, diversionary activities for young people in school holidays, cooking, craft & knitting groups and mindfulness sessions. Throughout the year we run adult trips and family activities and outings.

The Earl Shilton Neighbourhood Watch Officer is based at the house and offers support and advice on setting up schemes as well as keeping the neighbourhood up-to-date on community events happening locally.

Our projects and activities change regularly, you can keep up with what’s going on through our Facebook page, alternatively give us a call on 01455 255941 or 255942.

Whether you require a small meeting room, are calling in for a coffee and chat or would like some advice, help with filling in forms or access to other agencies we offer a 'One-Stop-Shop' service to all who visit.
