Dates for 2020
Now that outdoor events are able to take place with special safety measures, we have booked a performance for every Saturday in September. Details are listed below.
All performances will take place in the bandstand in Argents Mead on Saturday afternoons from 1pm to 3pm, with a short interval in the middle:
- 5 September: The Impact Steel Band bring a taste of the Caribbean to the Mead
- 12 September: WMD perform foot tapping classics including material from Stereophonics, Snow Patrol, George Ezra, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Beatles, The Specials, The Hollies, The Bee Gees, Bruce Springsteen and many, many more
- 19 September: Dean Thomas, The Sounds of Swing, performs classics from Old Blue Eyes Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis J, Bobby Darin and many, many more
- 26 September: Out of Gas perform classic pop from the sixties to the present
Event stewards will be in the Mead to ensure socially distancing is observed of two metres plus. Please only sit or stand with members of your household or support bubble. We ask you to refrain from shouting, singing and dancing. Please take any litter away with you or dispose of in an appropriate bin. Hand sanitising stations will be available. The nearest toilets and handwashing facilities are located on Station Road, a five minute walk from the Mead. The Leisure Centre toilets are currently not open to the general public. Details will be taken for track and trace purposes. We ask that if you are experiencing any symptoms of Coronavirus, or are in a local lock down zone, to please not attend the event.
