About resident involvement

Your choice, your voice

We believe that by listening to the views and opinions of our tenants, we can ensure that our policies and services are more responsive to their changing needs and aspirations.

Tenant involvement is how you, a tenant, can influence the services we provide. It is a two-way process where we will share our ideas with you, and we will listen to your ideas, comments, and suggestions. We know that tenant involvement leads to an improvement in our services, and we want to encourage as many tenants as possible to be involved

Why get involved:

  • Be active in shaping our housing services
  • Make your area a better place to live
  • Give us your views on the services you receive
  • Be part of a group to review and improve services
  • Help us better understand the needs of tenants
  • Gain useful skills
  • Receive relevant training
  • Meet new people

What we do to engage with our tenant groups:

  • Home-based consultations: online, by post and via website
  • Satisfaction surveys: we undertake a full tenants' survey every two years. More specific area surveys are undertaken regularly
  • Events and meetings: events are held throughout the year covering various topics
  • Community activities: residents' groups can assist in arranging various social activities/events at our sheltered schemes and community houses
  • Sheltered housing group: representatives from our sheltered housing schemes meet separately to discuss service issues and make recommendations for improvements

How to get involved:

To register your interest in becoming involved, please complete our resident involvement questionnaire.  Alternatively, you can speak to your housing officer or complete our Resident Involvement contact form
