Apply for works to a tree
How to apply
If you wish to carry out works to protected trees (either a tree protected by a tree preservation order or a tree in a conservation area), then you must submit a planning application to us (as the local planning authority) before carrying out the work.
Submit your application:
There is no fee required for this type of application.
Timescales to determine your planning application:
- Tree(s) in a conservation area: six weeks
- Tree(s) protected by a tree preservation order: eight weeks
