The Hinckley BID

Introduction to the Hinckley BID

Hinckley BID (Business Improvement District)

In November 2018, after ten years of working hard with Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council to promote Hinckley and keep the town centre vibrant, Hinckley town centre businesses voted 74% in favour of the BID continuing for another five year term from May 2019 to the end of April 2024, its third consecutive term.

The BID puts on major town centre events as well as showcasing and assisting the nearly 400 Hinckley town centre businesses who each pay a BID levy of 1.95% of their rateable value. The BID represents the interests of all member businesses on many of the Borough Council working groups, as well as the County Council market towns group and tourism.

The BID aims to encourage a sense of local pride, gain the support of the local community to 'Keep business local' and encourage local trade within the wider business community.
