Events on our parks and open spaces
If you want to hold an event on any of our parks and open spaces, please complete a Green Spaces contact form or telephone 01455 238141 with details of the type of event you want to hold.
All of our sites are situated close to residential areas, and any proposed activity that includes either a live performance or amplified music or similar may not be suitable as it could cause a possible nuisance.

Burbage Common Open Day
Burbage Common Open Day has been scheduled for Sunday 13 September 2026.
Wildlings Play sessions at Burbage Common
There are a number of Wild Play events, run by Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust, taking place at Burbage Common over the spring and summer holidays.
There are two sessions each day: one at 10am until 11:30am, and one at 12:30pm until 2pm. Priced at £7.50 per child per session. Booking is essential: book a place at our Wild Play event

Clarendon Park fun fair - Barker's fun fair
The fun fair will be in Clarendon Park from 4 June until 14 June 2026.
Hollycroft Park
The very popular Proms in the Park 2026 will take place on Saturday 6 June 2026, from 6pm to 8:30pm. Full details in the events calendar: concerts in Hollycroft Park
Friends of Hollycroft Park events
The Friends of Hollycroft park group organise a number of band concerts on Sunday afternoons throughout the summer, with a variety of music on offer.
Dates for this year are:

- Sunday 6 June: Proms in the Park

- Sunday 9 August: Lutterworth Town Band
- Sunday 23 August: JCC Alumni Orchestra
- Sunday 29 August: Pride in the Park
- Sunday 6 September: Ratby Brass Band

Friends of Hollycroft also organise volunteer gardening sessions from April to October on the first Saturday of every month month. Sessions start at 10am and last until 12pm.
From February until the first week in December, their community cafe in the pavilion is open on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 10am until 1pm.
Argents Mead
Music in the Mead performances take place in the bandstand throughout the summer, starting in May and ending in September. For details of this year's performances, please visit Music in the Mead in the events calendar.
