Non-wheeled bin service

About the non-wheeled collection service

If you are one of the few residents using bags, instead of a wheeled bin, due to access or location issues, please be advised that:

  • The items you can put into the bags is the same as for the bins.
  • We do not provide extra bags, these are routinely delivered every 16 weeks, with the correct amount of capacity for each household.
    • Refuse capacity is based on permanent residents and just like the wheeled bin service, residents need to reduce their refuse as much as possible by reducing waste, reusing items and recycling.
  • Extra recycling can be presented at the side of the bags, using a cardboard box or a clear bag.
  • Bags that are contaminated or contain items we cannot take, will not be collected.
    • Residents will need to make their own arrangements for disposal, or remove the items and represent on their next collection.
  • Bags must be presented available for our crews. Staff cannot put their arms into bins, to retrieve bags, for safety reasons.
