Garden (green waste) recycling service

We operate a garden waste recycling service. Garden waste bins are provided with a brown lid and a black or brown bin base. There are two sizes: 240 litres (standard size) and 140 litres. The garden waste we collect is taken to local farms for composting.

A full subscription year includes 25 collections. There's one collection every two weeks (except the two weeks of Christmas and New Year).

Garden waste service 2026/27:

• You are able to subscribe from 1 April
• Collections start from 1 June: The subscription year runs from 1 June 2026 to 31 May 2027
• If you are a new resident to the borough of Hinckley and Bosworth, you can order a garden waste bin for your new home: Bins for a new home
• Our garden waste collection service is a paid service. The subscription fee for 2026/27 will be £52.50
